Paul Manson
Where are you from?
Born and raised in Scotland. Have been in Melbourne since 2011 and a proud Australian citizen since 2020.
When did you join CC?
Joined CC in July 2026
Why did you join CC & what you hope to achieve?
I lost my son Connor to suicide in June 2024 - he was 32. Grief after suicide is incredibly complex and is different to other forms of grief - it often carries the weight of guilt, trauma and many questions that can never be answered. One thing that really helps is connecting and sharing with others that have the same experience. My hope is that my own personal experience can be of some help to others as they navigate the most difficult of times. Crucially, that our actions in suicide prevention not only save lives but in doing so saves so many broken hearts and shattered families.
